Talking Stick - The name Talking Stick is actually a reference to the calendar sticks that were/are used by the Pima and Maricopa tribes to commemorate events of community significance. Icons are carved to commemorate the event and can vary from a drought, to the opening of a new enterprise or a communtiy member achieving something of great significance. Two of three currently active sticks can be found on display at Talking Stick Resort.
